Based on a recording of a small rock pool in Poole Harbour (the second-largest natural harbour in the world, after Sydney), this piece attempts to place the listener inside the pool, by focusing on the character of the water’s restless motion, and only occasionally allowing in the sounds of the world beyond. The piece forms part of the Aides… mémoires… project with Pete Stollery, consisting of short form pieces (3-6’) made from single field recordings.
