REcoil (2000) is the third part of a series of compositions I call RE-cycle. The two earlier works in the series are Respirit (1993), for percussion and tape, and Relief (1996), for tape. All three pieces are built upon the same fundamental sound material, which I revisit every few years to create new works. My idea with RE-cycle has been to explore the endless possibilities of transforming and renewing this sonic material.
