Imprints (2005) is an electroacoustic piece composed for solo percussion (a turkish bendir) and live processing using an early version of the author’s Cosmosf stochastic synthesis software. Performed by Roland Auzet, the bendir gestures explore a rich sonic palette, ranging from subtle, noisy textures and polyrhythmic macro events to granular-like patterns. Given the technical limitations of 2005, two computers ran the software sequentially with dedicated configurations to ensure a seamless performance without interruptions.
