Project DME exists since 2003 and is supervised by Associação de Fomento do Ensino Artístico (AFEA), founded in 1997. The first edition took place in Poland, but its headquarters are in Seia (Seia Music Conservatory) and Lisbon (Lisboa Incomum). Under the artistic direction of Jaime Reis, Project DME focuses mainly on performing, creating and training in the fields of contemporary art music and electroacoustic music, but also in intersections with other aesthetic approaches and artistic languages. Ensemble DME was created in 2013 and since then has performed over a hundred activities (concerts, workshops, e.g.) in Portugal and abroad (Brazil, Belgium and Spain).
