Ö1 Kunstradio since February 2024 Kunst zum Hören has been working intensively since 1987 with Austrian and international artists from a wide variety of artistic fields such as visual arts, literature, media art, music, performance art, etc. The medium of radio is explored in its various forms (from medium wave and short wave to FM and 5.1 satellite radio to web radio, podcasts and new technologies). Radio becomes an object of artistic reflection, an instrument, a communication space and occasionally used in an extended sense beyond broadcasting.
