Iranian composer Amir Teymuri studied composition and music informatics at the University of Tehran, the University of Music Freiburg, the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main, and the Institute for Music Informatics at the University of Music Karlsruhe in Germany. He was awarded at the First National Biennale for New Music in Tehran and has been a scholarship holder at the Academy of Arts in Berlin, as well as an Artist-in-Residence at the Center for Arts and Urbanistics in Berlin (ZK/U). He is currently a lecturer at the University of Music and Theater Munich and the University of Music Karlsruhe.
