Luz María Sánchez is a transdisciplinary artist working across sound, installation, moving image, and computational media. She explores the political sphere of violence and power relations through media constructs. Her artistic research extends to language as a technoscientific machine and builds upon environmental urgency. She received two Prix Ars Electronica Honorary Mentions (2020, 2021) for Vis.[un]necessary force #3 and #4. Her work has been presented across Europe and the Americas, including Ars Electronica (Linz) and ZKM | Center for Art and Media (Karlsruhe). In 2024, Galeria Miejska Arsenał (Poznań) presented a survey of her work (2006–2024), curated by Ryszard W. Kluszczyński; a volume of essays on her practice is forthcoming.
