Paulina Sundin, born 1970 in Sweden, composes primarily for the electro-acoustic medium and began working at the Electronic Music Studio (EMS) in Stockholm already in 1991. She has sought answers to how electroacoustic music can make use of new, well-defined harmonic thinking beyond the traditional scales and based on the inherent acoustic properties in various everyday objects. She was awarded the "Vice-chancellor's Award for an Outstanding Doctoral Thesis" by the University of Huddersfield in 2010. She has worked as Deputy Head of the Department of Composition and Conducting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and been a board member of the Society of Swedish Composers 2004-2014. She is currently based in Stockholm working full-time as a freelance composer.
