Mario MARY holds a doctorate in "Aesthetics, Science and Technology of the Arts" (University Paris 8, France). He is currently Professor of Electroacoustic Composition at the Académie Rainier III in Monaco, as well as Artistic Director of the international festival "Cervantes Electroacústico" (Argentina). He created and directed the "Rencontres Internationales de Musique Electroacoustique" (Monaco) between 2011 and 2019. Between 1996 and 2010, he taught Computer-Assisted Composition at the Université Paris 8, where he created and directed the "Cycle de concerts de musique par ordinateurs". He has also worked as a composer-researcher at IRCAM ("AudioSculp, tutorial of cross synthesis"). Mario MARY has won some thirty prizes for instrumental, electroacoustic and mixed composition in France, Italy, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Portugal, Czech Republic, Poland, Argentina and Brazil. He has given over a hundred lectures and courses in various countries in Europe and Latin America. Through his works, he has developed personal techniques of Electroacoustic orchestration and Spatial polyphony.
