Matas is a Lithuanian electroacoustic music composer based in Vilnius, working at the intersection of spatial audio, field recording, and sound synthesis. His practice spans acousmatic composition, generative algorithms, and immersive Ambisonic sound design. He holds a Master's degree in Electronic Music Composition from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA), and has worked in film scoring and sound design, most recently on the 2025 feature film Oblivion. His piece "n" was awarded second place at Europe's Student 3D Audio Production Competition (S3DAPC) at ICSA 2019 in Ilmenau, and has since been performed across Europe — including concerts in Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, and Denmark, as well as at the Baltic Music Festival in Vilnius.
