I, Helene Hedsund have been active at EMS (ElektronMusikStudion) in Stockholm since 1994. I have a PhD in Electroacoustic Composition from University of Birmingham. Miškas, 12'25'', 12 channels. The sounds in Miškas were recorded in the forests around Druskininkai, Lithuania, in 2012. Since then, I have made many versions of Miškas with varying lengths for various purposes. The uploaded version is from 2025 with some added Druskininkai rain. All the sounds in Miškas come from the forests except a generated pluck sound that accompanies the rain. The piece was made with SuperCollider.
