Yansu

Yansu Niu, Phd(Electronic Music Composition). She's a lecturer at Sun Yat-Sen University School of Arts and working as a composer, sound artist. Her main research areas and directions include electronic music composition, music technology, music production, and sound design. Her works cover a wide range of fields, including chamber music, orchestral music, electronic music, film music, interactive installations, and sound art. She has won numerous awards in professional competitions and has been invited to perform at many well-known domestic and international arts festivals, such as the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) and Beijing Music Festival (BMF). She is also active in film and multimedia, sound installation art, and interdisciplinary research. She has frequently undertaken music composition, sound design, and production for video games, animation, theatrical film projects, and large-scale sound installations. Examples include the video games ‘Tears of Themis’ and ‘Justice Online/Treacherous Waters Online’, and the large-scale sound installation ‘Courtyard in Four Phases’. Her work has been exhibited at which have been exhibited at the UCCA in Beijing, the Setouchi Triennale Art Festival in Japan, La Biennale di Venezia in Italy, and other domestic and international art stages. Furthermore, she has led or participated in interdisciplinary projects integrating art and technology, encompassing music therapy, artificial intelligence, and computer science.
