Nikolas Valsamakis composes electroacoustic music. He is particularly interested in the directions of microsound and non-standard synthesis. Taking a heuristic approach to composition, he programs and explores personally defined algorithms for the articulation, processing, layering and spatialization of sonic material. He also specializes in multi-speaker sound diffusion systems for the performance of acousmatic music.
